From September 2013 until May 2014 the ITF established a Community Hub in many places over Chiang mai such as at Maneenopparat Road, Sripoom and, from June 2014 on Thapea Gate, Chiang Mai.
Because Thailand lacks a tradition of providing pro bono legal services and the delivery of Thai legal services is exclusively restricted to Thai lawyers, it is essential that the ITF cooperates with relevant and influential parties for the acknowledgment (non-resistance), acceptance, contribution and progress of the Project and the Community Hub.
The existing civil society in Thailand plays an important role in protecting rights and advocating for change and development to maintain the rule of law and encourage sustainable development.
ITF’s engagement and cooperation with Thai, ASEAN and international institutions is integral to our longevity and impact in facilitating the people’s access to justice.
